OMA’s monumental glass pavilion at the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec injects a startling and ambitious perspective into the grouping of pavilions that have towered over the St. Lawrence River for nearly a century. The book explores how the new pavilion interacts with the museum, its surrounding park, and the city of Québec. Alongside a visual portfolio of the completed structure are conversations with its leading architects, including Rem Koolhaas and Shohei Shigematsu, as well as detailed illustrations of the design and construction process.

LINE OUELLET is Executive Director of Musée National des Beauxs-Arts du Québec. REM KOOLHAAS is an internationally renowned architect and theorist, and one of the founder partners of OMA, Rotterdam. PHYLLIS LAMBERT is an architect and philanthropist, as well as the founder and director of the Canadian Centre for Architecture. PIERRE LASSONDE is a businessman and philanthropist currently serving as Chairman of Franco Nevada. JOHN R. PORTER is an agricultural scientist and a professor at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
